Avocado Hass (Type A)

Hass are a very popular variety and produce a large avocado with a mid-green bumpy skin. They tend to be a heavy cropper and the fruit are deliciously creamy. The skin on a Hass avocado will darken into a deep brown as it ripens.

Hass is an A variety, growing with a B variety may be advantageous but is not a necessity.

Popular and delicious creamy fruits from late autumn to summer.

FEATURES: Highly attractive evergreen tree forming a dense, rounded canopy to around 4-10 metres. Fruit ripening varies with tach varlety and locality. however, it is generally from late autumn to aummer.
CONDITIONS: Requires a warm, sheltered, frost free position in full sun. A well drained soll rich in organic matter is best.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Keep moist the first 12 weeks until established and water by deep soaking in hot or dry conditions: Fertlise reguarly during the growing season. Mulch well, keeping area immediately around the trunk clear.
